Piper Eddie

Bringing Scotland to your door

Background

Piper Eddie was born in Kirkintilloch - a true Scot who wears the family tartan of Cranston. Eddie has been playing the pipes now for over fifty years, in which time he has played all over the world, to a wide and varied audience including; Sir Alex Douglas Home and Sir Harold Wilson, playing at countless stately homes, castles, churches and cathedrals. Eddie is extremely versatile in his repertoire and he has ushered the bride and groom to their future happiness and has played for different theatrical groups including the Royal Shakespeare Company. Eddie also makes that special effort for those saying goodbye to a dearly departed loved one.

He has attended and played regularly for the Earl of Aylesford and Lord Guernsey.  Eddie has also been flown out to Washington DC to play for several notaries there. Eddie is currently the Honorary piper for the Stratford upon Avon and District Caledonian Society - lest we forget Burns night, where the piping in of the dignatories to the top table at that special dinner is essential. You couldn't ask for a more professional, competent and friendly piper.

A letter to the Central English Music Agency regarding Piper Eddie:

 Dear Central England Music Agency,
We felt that we just had to say how pleased we were with the piper who played at our wedding yesterday.
He was totally brilliant and everyone was talking about him long after he had gone home, and I am sure they will be talking about him continually still.
Please pass on our thanks to him, he really made our day extra special!
Yours,
Rhayha & Allan
